The renovations we’ve planned for our new store have begun! On this page we’ll share our progress, with pictures to show as we go along.

Don’t forget, until we move into our new space (late June target date), we are still open for business as usual at our current location.

May 18 – The previous carpeting has been removed! Next week our new flooring will be installed. We’re using a wood finish vinyl material which we think will look beautiful!

May 20 – Our new “stage” was constructed today. This will be part of a huge area dedicated exclusively to pointe shoe fittings.

May 21 – Cutting holes in the wall is always fun! This area was a storage closet previously, but we’ve opened it up a bit and will be turning it into a new “play area” for younger kids. Complete with toys and games to play, here they can stay busy and have some fun while their older siblings and parents shop throughout our store.

May 22 – Our new flooring is being installed and is almost finished. Next week we’ll start painting! Green is a nice color but we’re gonna go with something different…

May 31 – The painting is coming along nicely. We chose a grey/lavender color with white trim.

June 7 – Our checkout counter arrived today:

June 7 – This is where our 2nd shoe area will be. We will have two, one for all pointe shoes, and another one (pictured), for all non-pointe shoes.

June 7 – We are having some fun painting our “kid’s play area” with a whimsical theme. This is almost finished!

June 19 – We installed the mirrors and barre for the stage in our pointe shoe. This section of our store will be dedicated completely to pointe shoe fittings.

June 20 – Our waiting/play area for little kids is finished! We love how the paintings turned out, done by the very talented Linda Jablon of http://homemakeoversllc.net. Now we just need to fill it up with some books and toys!

June 25 – In the middle of our store we’ll have a “lounge” section, which we affectionately refer to as our “dad waiting area”. So no more excuses for dads not to bring their dancers to our store. We promise an ESPN The Magazine to read!
